Inclusively female, the Agua del Rio team of artisans is made up of stay-at-home mothers, indigenous women, students, and adventurers. All weave with pleasure and without haste. They all work at their own pace, from the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta - Colombia - whose snow capped peaks overlook the Caribbean Sea, the tropical forest with centuries-old trees, red flowers and multicolores macaws.

All designs and prototypes are made by a french a traveler, Lili  Millien who got her inspiration in Peru, in Amazona, and above all Colombian Caribbean coast.

From the tops of the mountains to the sea, the river, or "rio", links this unique landscape of which the patterns and colors of Agua del Rio bear identity.
